How it works

Six steps from where you are to a real plan.

Nothing here is a black box. Here’s exactly what happens at each stage, and what you get out of it.

1

Import your CV

Upload your CV and we extract your work history, education, credentials and skills automatically. Nothing is saved until you've reviewed it: you correct anything the extraction got wrong or left out before it becomes part of your profile.

2

Set your destination

Tell us the role, timeframe, industry, location and constraints that define where you're trying to get to. This becomes the target every other part of RolePathways measures you against.

3

See your Career Capital score

We score your profile across seven dimensions of career capital (things like scope of responsibility, strategic exposure, and commercial ownership) and benchmark it against real, published careers that reached your target destination. The result is a single Pathway Score with the specific gaps holding it back.

4

Answer whether you can do the job

Your score measures what you have accumulated. This asks the other question: your destination expects a person to do specific things, from writing a Board paper to owning an enterprise budget, and an interview will ask which of them you have actually done. You rate each one honestly, and anything you have never done can go straight onto your plan.

5

Get your route and action plan

From those gaps we build a primary route (the sequence of moves most likely to get you there) and a prioritised 90-day action plan: concrete next steps, not generic advice.

Keep it current

Careers and markets change. Recalculate whenever your role, market, or priorities shift, so your pathway stays evidence-based instead of turning into a one-time report that goes stale.
